Issue 32

Welcome to our 32nd issue and after many requests, the first of our monthly magazines. Once again we showcase eight talented local artists – all diverse in their styles. From the intricate mixed media drawings of Val Myburgh to the whimsical wine-sipping folk of Ronald West. Beth Lowe shares her passion for plein air painting, and Erika Van Zyl gives a demonstration on painting silver. There are two portrait artists with very different approaches: Solomon Omogboye’s richly coloured impasto works and Revalle Beaton’s more traditional paintings. Linda Weaver discusses the planning that goes into setting up the perfect still life; and finally a fascinating look at nocturne painting with René Snyman. There is plenty to keep you inspired for the next month.
